Mari Jordon graduated from Marion High School, then continued her education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. After graduating with a BSN, she worked as a psychiatric nurse in Kansas City then later transferred to the Emergency Department.
She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University, graduating at the top of her Family Nurse Practitioner Program. At Duke,she performed research pertaining to rural health care and overcoming barriers. She even participated in St. Vincent and the Grenadines' policy writing and reformation, which urged government officials to expand the scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners. She has experience as an educator and has taught an NCLEX review course for recent nursing school graduates in Missouri.
